Overview
The 39 is a very popular charter catamaran with good reason. A great size for sailing with family and friends, this affordable charter catamaran is an excellent means of getting out and exploring the Ionian islands for yourselves.
Lagoon design their catamarans with the charterer in mind and their years of design expertise are plain to see, every aspect of the yacht is considered and there’s plenty of space for groups of up-to 10 guests. The four comfortable double cabins can host up-to eight and the saloon table can be turned into a bed for another two people if desired.
Sailing the Lagoon 39 is a pleasure, with a self-tacking jib & well positioned helm she’s straightforward and quite manageable as a bare-boat option. Parking is made easy with good visibility over the stern when you need to back onto a quay.
Assuming you’d prefer to take on a crew two crew cabins in the bows of the catamaran can host our staff without much impact on your available space.
Salty Dog’s ample deck space ensures that there’s room enough for everyone while you sail, a large cockpit table playing host when it comes time to gather round and eat! Make use of the snorkelling equipment onboard when you drop anchor & add extras like SUPs & SeaWings for added fun!
Toys & Extras
Salty Dog carries a whole host of toys & extras for you to enjoy. Regardless of which anchorage you find yourself in you’ll find that there’s plenty to keep everyone occupied!
Tender: Salty Dog comes with a highfield dinghy equipped with a 3.5HP outboard engine. Sufficient to get up to reasonable speed, this comfortable dinghy ensures an excellent ride into whichever Greek town/ village your looking to visit.
SUP’s – Stand up paddle-board’s (Optional Extra): Stand up paddle-boards have become a charter staple in recent years. Paddle over to a nearby beach and have an explore or simply tie it to the boat and use it as a platform to sunbathe on.
Snorkeling & Swim Equipment: Swimming is a crucial part of the yacht charter holiday! We’ve got you covered on grace with a whole host of snorkeling & swim equipment including noodles & other floats for those less confident.
Electric Scooter’s (Optional Extra): Sometimes you want to get off the boat for a while and explore the islands. We carry two electric scooters on Swan, a pleasure to ride they increase your range somewhat! Perfect for any teenagers looking to escape for half an hour.
Sea Wing – Sea Scooter (Optional Extra): An exciting new addition to our range of optional extras. The Jobe Sea Wing Sea scooters are designed to pull you through the water with minimal effort. Paired with our snorkelling equipment you have a perfect means of exploring the under-water world!reasonable
Location
Stretching down the West coast of Greece, the Ionian islands are one of the Mediterranean’s most popular charter sailing destinations. Renowned for gentle afternoon breezes, calm seas and plenty of sunshine the Ionian is a playground for sailors to explore and make the most of.
Travel to the main islands of Corfu, Paxos, Lefkada, Kefalonia, Ithaca & Zakynthos as well as twenty smaller islands. Each of which features its own array of quaint villages, harbours and bays.
The Ionian sets itself apart with consistently perfect sailing conditions in sheltered seas. You will find innumerable safe anchorages with lush green surrounds. Its a perfect destination for fun & relaxed sailing holidays.
Salty Dog is based in Preveza Marina (see map.)
Preveza is an excellent jumping off point, positioned centrally it allows access both North toward Paxos & Corfu or South towards Kefalonia & Zakynthos. The marina is just a 15 minute taxi ride from Preveza International Airport.
